EnVogue Nail Systems - We’re "9 chemicals" Free

What does “9 chemicals FREE” mean? This means that you are using the healthiest and safest nail products. En Vogue takes you to the highest level. We are proud to say we are “9 FREE.”

Why should this be important in choosing nail products? We will give you 9 good reasons…

Toluene – is a liquid solvent that smells like paint thinner. You can be exposed to toluene by breathing it in or getting it on your skin, causing skin irritation. Unfortunately, inhaling high levels of toluene is said to be harmful to your nervous system and can cause light-headache and nausea.

  • Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) – is a commonly used plasticizer and has been linked to cancer.
  • Formaldehyde – is a commonly used chemical to preserve and embalm dead animals and humans. Its vapors are also irritating and can trigger asthma. Formaldehyde is also a known human carcinogen, a factor directly involved in causing cancer.
  • Formaldehyde Resin – a derivative of Formaldehyde, mainly used in the production of coatings and adhesives. It is not as toxic as Formaldehyde but can be an allergen.
  • Camphor – this chemical acts as a cover on your nails, depriving them of nutrients and causing yellow staining on your nails.
  • Xylene – is irritating to the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract. It can cause systemic toxicity by ingestion or inhalation.
  • Triphenyl Phosphate (TPHP) – is a chemical used in plastics to improve flexibility and as a flame retardant. A handful of animal studies and in vitro studies have suggested that it could be an endocrine disrupter which affects your hormones
  • Parabens – these are preservatives that have gotten a bad rep for their estrogen-mimicking effects, which past research has suggested may trigger major health concerns like hormonal problems
  • Ethyl Tosylamide – a plasticizer that helps transform polish from drippy to dry in minutes. This ingredient has already been barred from personal care products in Europe due to its antibiotic properties and concern over antibiotic resistance.

How to Take Care of Your Nails after Gel Manicure ?

No hot water

Avoid using hot water on your hands and nails, it can seep into your nail plates and cause the polish to lift and peel. Instead, rubber gloves are recommended for tasks involving hot water.

Be gentle

Avoid tough or handy jobs that might harm or chip your nails, including simple tasks such as tearing open letters or parcels. In this case, use scissors instead.

Recommendation

Apply cuticle oil every day cuticle oil can help your nails look salon-fresh for longer and will also keep the area moisturized.

Why Do I Need Change Polish EVERY 2-3 weeks ?

By not looking at your natural nail at least every two weeks you won't be able to properly assess its condition, plus you might even be missing infections.

As peeling and lifting begin (normally after 2-3 weeks), water can seep into the nail. This can harbor bacteria and possibly cause fungus.
